Herd Shot: Group Photo from the Linux Kernel Developer Summit
I just came across a group photo from the Linux Kernel Developers Summit that has historical value—sharing it with you all. It features Torvalds (roughly in the center), Andrew Morton (current primary kernel maintainer, second row, second from the right), Alan Cox (one of Linux's top contributors and foreword writer for Linux Application Development—short, bearded, between two pillars), Jonathan Corbet (author of Linux Device Drivers, first row, first from the left), and his co-author Greg Kroah-Hartman (to the left of the central pillar), Tso speaking at the podium (to the right of the central pillar—check out his resume, he's a heavyweight too, from IBM), Olaf Kirch (author of The Linux Network Administrators' Guide), and others. There's a Chinese developer, Yang Li from Freescale. Herbert Xu is from Australia, and the Chinese woman sitting on the ground, Mingming Cao, works for IBM in the U.S.
